  1. I have a few different recipes for chicken wings and they are all so good..... just depends on which one we are in the mood for....

    BAKED CHICKEN WINGS

    INGREDIENTS.....

    3 pounds chicken wings

    2 eggs, beaten

    1/2 cup all-purpose flour for coating

    3/4 cup oil for frying

    1/4 cup margarine

    SAUCE

    6 tablespoons soy sauce

    6 tablespoons water

    2 cups white sugar

    1 cup vinegar

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Pour egg beat into a shallow dish or bowl; do the same with the flour. Heat oil and margarine in a large, deep skillet over medium high heat. Dip wings in egg, then flour, then fry until browned and crisp. Lay browned wings in an 11x14 inch baking dish.

    To Make Sauce: In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar. Blend well and pour sauce over chicken.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

    BUFFALO CHICKEN WINGS

    INGREDIENTS.....

    20 chicken wings, split and tips discarded

    1/2 cup butter, melted

    1/2 cup red pepper sauce

    3/4 cup tomato sauce

    1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder

    1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

    Bake wings in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy.

    Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine melted butter, red pepper sauce, tomato sauce, chili powder and cayenne pepper. Mix together.

    When wings are baked, dip in sauce to coat well, then shake off excess and return coated wings to baking sheet. Reduce oven temperature to 250 degrees F (120 degrees C) and bake for another 15 minutes to set sauce.

    BAKED CHICKEN WINGS CARAMELIZED

    INGREDIENTS....

    3 pounds chicken wings

    2 tablespoons olive oil

    1/2 cup soy sauce

    2 tablespoons ketchup

    1 cup honey

    1 clove garlic, minced

    salt and pepper to taste

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

    Place chicken in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Mix together the oil, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, salt and pepper. Pour over the chicken.

    Bake in preheated oven for one hour, or until sauce is caramelized.

    ZESTY CHICKEN WINGS

    INGREDIENTS....

    3 pounds chicken wings

    1 cup chicken broth

    1 cup white sugar

    1/4 cup fish sauce

    2 tablespoons cider vinegar

    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    2 teaspoons paprika

    1 tablespoon vegetable oil

    1/3 cup minced garlic

    3 tablespoons minced jalapeno peppers

    1/4 cup sliced red bell peppers

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

    In a large bowl combine the broth, sugar, fish sauce, vinegar, cornstarch and paprika. Set aside.

    In a hot wok or skillet add the oil, garlic and chiles. Stir fry over high heat until the garlic turns slightly golden, about 4 minutes. Add the broth mixture and stir until it boils and is reduced to about 1 1/4 cups, about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep warm.

    Place the chicken wings in a 10x15 inch baking dish and bake, uncovered, in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes (until browned and crisp). Turn occasionally. Drain off the fat. With a slotted spoon, transfer the wings to a platter and pour the garlic sauce mixture over them, mixing well. Garnish with red bell pepper strips if desired.

    JAPANESE STYLE CHICKEN WINGS

    INGREDIENTS.....

    3 pounds chicken wings

    1 egg, lightly beaten

    1 cup all-purpose flour for coating

    1 cup butter

    SAUCE

    3 tablespoons soy sauce

    3 tablespoons water

    1 cup white sugar

    1/2 cup white vinegar

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste

    1 teaspoon salt

    DIRECTIONS

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Cut wings in half, dip in egg and coat with flour.

    Heat butter in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry wings until deep brown. Place in a shallow roasting pan.

    In a small bowl combine soy sauce, water, sugar, vinegar, garlic powder and salt. Pour over wings.

    Bake in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes, basting wings with sauce often.

    Caramelized Baked Chicken

    1. Wash the chicken wings and pat dry. In skillet saute chicken wings in melted butter until lightly browned. Arrange in oiled ovenproof baking dish.

    2. Add tomatoes with liquid and celery.

    3. In separate bowl, mix together soy sauce, vinegar, and salt. Pour over the chicken.

    4. Bake at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until tender.

    TIPS: Do not crowd the pan when browning the chicken wings.

    GOOD SERVED WITH: Herbed rice, broccoli with sesame seeds, and applesauce cake for dessert.

    SPICY BAKED CHICKEN WINGS

    2-2 1/2 lb. chicken wings

    MARINADE:

    1/2 c. soy sauce

    1/2 c. brown sugar

    1/4 c. peanut oil or other oil

    2 tsp. dry mustard

    1/3 c. sherry or wine (white)

    1 tsp. dried rosemary or fresh rosemary sprigs

    Rinse chicken wings. Pat dry. Arrange in shallow baking dish. For marinade: Combine soy sauce, brown sugar, oil, mustard, wine and rosemary in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stir until sugar is dissolved. Let cool. Pour marinade over chicken wings. Cover, marinate for 3 hours or more in a cool place. Remove from refrigerator. Let sit at room temperature 1/2 hour before baking. Bake chicken wings at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, turning and basting from time to time while baking. Remove chicken wings to paper towels to drain. Serve hot.

    BAKED BARBECUE CHICKEN WINGS

    1 - 1 1/2 lbs. chicken wings or legs

    3/4 - 1 c. Kraft barbecue sauce

    Par boil chicken in boiling water for 8 minutes. Remove and let drain and pat dry. Place chicken (a few pieces at a time) in medium sized bowl. Pour barbecue sauce over chicken and coat well. Place in shallow baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

    BAKED CHINESE CHICKEN WINGS

    3 lbs. chicken wings

    1/2 c. soy sauce

    1/2 c. ketchup

    1/4 c. honey

    2 or 3 cloves garlic

    1/4 c. vodka or gin (optional)

    Blend soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic and vodka. Combine wings the marinate and mix together. Bake in shallow pan at 350 degrees uncovered for 1 hour. Baste occasionally with the marinate from the pan every ten or fifteen minutes.

    24 wing pieces

    cajun seasoning (zatarain's or tony cecherie's)

    1/4 cup louisiana hot sauce

    1/4 cup frank's red hot sauce

    heat oven to 425 degrees F

    season wings on both sides with cajun seasoning (just sprinkle it on the wings like salt).

    arrange wings on a cookie sheet in a single layer

    bake about 20 minutes till wings are done

    meanwhile, mix hot sauces in a shallow bowl

    when wings are cooked, remove pan from oven and turn oven to broil

    turn wings over on pan and place under broiler till brown and crispy (4 to 5 minutes) keep an eye on them so they won't burn.

    remove wings to hot sauce and toss/stir to coat well

    serve with carrots, celery, ranch, and blue cheese dressings
