I will agree with Maria that the Whale Harbor Restaurant & Marina is worth the drive.  It has the freshest seafood around.  My family would always go every year when I lived in Florida.  Memories.

I am so glad we went here instead! It was outstanding! We both had yellow tail snapper and it was melt-in-your mouth good! The prices are very reasonable for such good food. The setting was very romantic (we sat on the patio under trees and white lights). They serve wine and beer, but not liquor since they don't have a liquor license. Dinners come with great bread, salads, mashed potatoes and veggies. Service was excellent, even the manager checked on us. Definitely the place to eat in Key Largo!

Whale Harbor Restaurant & Marina: Seafood Buffet - crabs and oysters, all fresh.

it's on Islamorada, but worth a drive. we drove there from miami, twice.
