Need a hypothesis about Luna moths for grade 3 sci fair project...?

My daughter is doing a sci. fair project on luna moths. Just ordered luna moth cocoons. Now we need a hypothesis to prove... Help. This is a 3rd grade project, but she has to prove something, do a scientific journal etc. Help!

Just so you know, scientists don't "prove" things with experiments -- we test and, based on the findings, either support or reject hypotheses.

If you have cocoons only, you really can't do much in the way of experiments with them (the really interesting stuff happens at the larval and adult stages). I suppose, if you have several of them, you could try rearing them at different temperatures (within a non-lethal range) and recording the time it takes for them to complete development.

A scientific journal (complete with digital pictures of the cocoon and the moth during and after hatching) might be more appropriate; see:
