Need a new racquet and can't find specs for my old one?

I played for a number of years with a Prince Extender Outrage, which I liked a lot. It's no longer around and I want to get a new racquet with similar specs, but I can't find what the specs were for mine. Googling does nothing, it's not listed on tennis.com...anyone got a suggestion? Or maybe they have the racquet and can tell me? Thanks!

  1. You should try the Prince rackets. It is very good.

  2. Without knowledge of your Prince Extender Outrage specs, I think the easiest thing to recommend is going to www.tennis-warehouse.com and participate in their demo program.  Racket technology has likely changed/improved what you were once accustomed to swinging.  You can search at tennis-warehouse by specs or by viewing similar rackets.  If you're "old-school" you'll probably feel more comfortable with a heavier frame (11 oz and above, generally), with a head-light racket (the balance is weighted more toward the handle).  If you're a baseliner, with heavy topsin, you might look towards a lighter frame, that is head-heavy (weighted more toward the face of the racket) or even balanced.  I believe there are a fair number of discussions that seem to indicate that lighter, head-heavy rackets contribute to tennis elbow problems.
