Need a new subwoofer

Question

my 12" alpine type r blew the other day while maybe playing to loud. dont really kno the reason. i have an alpine mrp m850 amp. (4 ohms: 500W x 12 ohms: 800W x 1). i dont know if i should get the same sub, maybe 2 this time? i want it to be louder, i didnt hit that hard because of the enclosure but which sub will pound the hardest with this amp. dont want to spend over 250.
