Hi all...just back from a wonderful vaction in El Salvador and would like to attempt to make Pupusas for the family. I bought rice flour ( preferred the rice ones to the corn ones) and need a recipe to make the dough part. If you have a recipe for everything, could you post it please!!

  1. The websites Ms. Kiss gave you have good recipes.  I like the rice flour pupusas too, but the dough can get very sticky.  You can also do half rice, half corn flour, and it tasts close to the all-rice varieties.    If you're looking to make the salsa roja, then the best way I've found is to water down tomato paste and add hot sauce (go for the Goya brand or any other Latin-based company, sauces like Tabasco just don't taste the same with pupusas.

Also, pupusas are better after you've made a couple and the pan is hot.
