I have a tiny yard, 18' by 25', I would like to plant a tree that provides shade but won't grow too big in the future. Can anybody recommend a nice looking small tree? It would nice to see some red autumn leaves drifting by the window......

Japanese Maples are colorful in the fall and offer a variety of sizes based on the cultivar.

  4. We love our Amelanchier Serviceberry tree ... Amelanchier x grandiflora ‘Autumn Brilliance’

    Autumn Brilliance® Serviceberry:

White flowers in the spring turn to fruit (enjoyed by humans and birds alike) in the summer and then foliage takes on true autumn brilliance in the fall.
