Need a tip for connecting speakers?

ok i have two 8ohm speakers same brand model what i am trying to do is bridge them do i wire them together then into the bridge hook up on my amp?

Without knowing exactly why you want to do this.

I recommend you DO not bridge your set up.

Yes, bridging can increase the output of your amp to ONE channel. But it is still the same.

Lets say your amp is 100 wpc.

That is a total of 200 watts into 2 speakers

Bridging your amp ( assuming you can bridge your amp, not all amps should be bridged) says it will now do 200watts into ONE channel. But now you have a mono connection but are still putting 200 watts into 2 speakers.

There is no benefit here.

If you bridge both channels of your amp you can only use one RCA connection. Either the left or the right. You can not use both. Bridging only works well if you have 2 amps. One for the left and one for the right. Or if it is being used for a center channel. Then your idea would be ok but will not provide any improvement.

Hook them up like normal.

Just hook your speakers up One speaker for Left and One for the right and connect them to the "A" binding posts. This is going to give you the best results.

if what your saying is that your are taking to speakers into one speaker output on the back of your reciver (per side) then you are right to wire them together. however your power will be diminished with the added speakers on the amp. sound quality may suffer a little.
