Need a topic for my final year IT project. Pls Help!?

Hi I'm a IT student. Currently doing my BSc in IT. I have a doubt in choosing a topic for my final year project. I have given 8 months to complete this project. I have few suggestions, but not sure whether can I show any uniqueness in my work...These are my suggestions :

1) Photo Management Tool

2) E-Commerce Website (B2C)

3) Books Catalog for school library

I thought of using ASP.NET, MS SQL/MS Access for this project. Some of my professors advised me to introduce web services in the project as it will help me to get a good grade in my final year. I felt E-commerce would be easier for me as I've created an e-Com website in the first year. But my professors suggested that i should be innovative and think of something challenging of my own. Something that is unique or something different from the rest of the existing e-com sites. I am kinda helpless and blur...I really need some suggestions in this regard. What else can I implement in an e-Com site that can create a different view from the rest...any suggestions? thanks everyone...

Well, first of all I am a Networking student, (Cisco, Microsoft, Linux)

But, for the e-com project, why not make a online store that accepts payments in lets say five different currencies. Like have it default to US dollars, then give a option to convert to Japanese Yen, then British Pounds, and pick two more or what not.  Yes this would be a challenge, and some additional research would required, but it would really impress your instructor!
