We have inherited a bronze sculpture of a bird which is signed by 'comolera'. We're trying without success to find a value of this piece and more information on it. We've not had much luck on google.

  1. Hi! There is quite a lot of information

about him to be found.  Here are some

    auction results, images and pre-sale

estimates of what his pieces can bring.

What you need to determine is when

your piece was made and if, in fact, it

is genuine or 'after' the style of Comolera

which would would require the assistance

of an appraiser or auction house.

His work is beautiful.   Good luck!

    Paul Comolera (1818 - 1897)

His models were cast in bronze by the

foundries of A. Gouge and Susse Freres.
