Need a women's oppinion! Do girls like shy guys?

Question

Okay, a quick summary.

I'm a 14yr old sophomore and I need an opinion on whether or not girls like shy guys. Most of my friends have approached me first or I met them through other friends. I've moved around a couple times and don't talk about my past a lot and most say that I know more about other people's lives than my own. Lol? I'm not really shy persay it's just I'm kinda like the mysterious, reserved type. (That's pretty much shy on the money lol). So there is this really cute girl that I really like but I don't know what to say to her! She's always glances at me and talks to me most everyday (she's a real random kind of person). I feel stupid cause all I do is sit there and smile back at her. Okay that was kinda long but do you think?

Don't know if this is any help but the several times I have tried to talk to her she smiles and says something like "Your funny," or "Your cute" and I feel even more stupid. I'm hopeless!

Wow... ok. So you have moved around a lot and you are kind of afraid of getting to close to people in fear that you are going to move again. So you are not really shy persay but reserved.

If you were to start something with this girl is there a chance that you are going to be moving again in the near future? Are there things about your past you don't want to share? Or things about your family you don't want to talk about?

You obviously have a class with her.Ask her if she would like to study together some time. I know this is a bit cliche but it opens up time for a dialogue other than "Hi" and "You're cute". There is always that lunch time conversation. Ask her what types of bands she likes to listen to, or make her a burned copy of one of your disks of songs you like and suggest she listen to them. It will open her eyes more to who you are. Music and School homework are two great ways of connecting with someone. That shows common interests.

What I would do is flirt a little back. If she says your cute say stuff back to her like that.

Then ask her if she would want to hang out sometime.

ur too young to be worrying about what girls like for one. and it all depends. some boys can abuse the shyness. in other words, it might be cute at first(the shyness), then it gets pretty annoying if hes still shy after yaw known each other for a minute. especially if he trys to be sy on purpose, its rather annoying.

Just flirt back with her. Say somethin like "your eyes are absolutely amazing" or tell her she is cute too. and i think if you wanted to ask her out, say this.. "you have a really random personality, and i love girls with a random personality, so  >>> her name here<<< will you go out with me?" and smile. =)

well i am a girl an i do not like shy guys. I want guys to be  out going and stuff like that. What i learnedd that people like talking about themselves. So tell her that u like her hair or clothes if you cant do that then just talk about sports or school or music. Its acually real easy.

To some, shy guys can be totally cute... and others, not so much. It depends on the girl. But, it seems like she likes you, so just try to talk to her alittle... i think everything will work out great.

You just need to relax, people can only carry on a conversation for so long and if you are too shy to answer them back or make small talk with them, they may move on- it gets pretty boring when only one person is thinking of something to say and the other one is not doing anything. sounds like she likes you and I am sure she already knows that you are shy- and there is nothing wrong with it, just don't lose out on things because of it.

I don't know about other girls, but I love to talk to shy guys. It's much easier to be myself when I do because I don't have to worry about being confidence. I can relax.

I'm talking to this guy I like in my school, and he's plenty shy too. But I think it's cute :) Take that as a compliment. But, sometimes, when I talk to shy people, I don't really like it when they don't answer back. It makes me want to give up and move on. So remember to speak up a little and talk more. Tell about your day and try to open up a little. The guy I like is shy, but he makes an effort to approach me, which I really like. He TRIES to make a conversation and that tells me that he's interested.

Don't feel stupid. Maybe she likes you that way. Just try to talk to her more. If you see her in the hall, walk up and say hi and talk if you have the time. If she passes by you, catch her eye by waving and smiling. Those little things can make someones day :)

I'm shy for the most part and I'm naturally attracted to people who are like me just because they're easier to talk to.  You'll know when you really like someone because you'll start to change and become more outgoing towards them because they open you up, and v/v.

Well alot of people are shy to talk to people they like. Just relax, take a breath, and clear you mind of nervousness and just talk... Cause if you dont talk girls may think your wierd and just completely stop talking to you.

Some girls like shy guys, and some girls don't.  My boyfriend is so incredibly shy, and I just think he is the most wonderful thing ever.

Mystery definitely intrigues girls.  Keep smiling at this girl and being polite and friendly to her.  She seems very interested since she is telling you that you are cute.  Let her know that you think she's cute too!  See where it goes.  Good luck!
