Need advice for a super cheap wedding not at a court house!!?

My fiance and i are planning on getting married in sept. of 2009, we are looking to have a cheap wedding i just need some ideas. I know i can make the invitation and favors myself and we have a friend that will DJ. The reception is going to be at my parents house but i just need some ideas to make my wedding unique but not cost and arm and a leg...thanks soo much!

First get married in their home.  I would go all out with flowers.  As far as the food goes I would have it catered.

A simply white dress with flowers in your hair would be a nice touch.

umm here are my ideas:

-make your cake (or have a friend make it) or make cupcakes..

- don't spend lots on favors (as most ppl don't take them)

- buy your flowers from costco and then make your boquets

- make your invitations and wedding decorations (like bows and centre peices)

- look for decorations at the $$ store (i got little red glass hearts from there

-check out ebay for stuff.. i got my cake cutter, cake topper and favor bags off ebay (much cheaper then those wedding stores..)

-check out sites like kijiji and craigslist for wedding stuff

IDEAS

- Do your own Flowers (check out www.afloral.com) for high quality silk flowers!

- Borrow or rent your wedding gown

- Ask a special friend to do the music for the ceremony

- Have a cupcake tower in lieu of a cake

- Do an appetizer buffet to save on the cost of food at the reception
