I am using a "PACL90 PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER" by De'Longhi. I can not get the heat vents to stretch up far enough to my windows, id say its at least good 4 feet from the window. My second problem is that i have hopper windows and it is very awkward to get them through the opening, also when they are through it leaves allot of opening which ill have to duct tape to keep on insects.

I've tried putting it on a table and feeding them out but the vents keep twisting off. Maybe i have to remove the end cap and twist is back on in a better angle for what i am trying to do or maybe i can go somewhere and buy something to extend the vents like sears maybe?. Thanks for any input guys.

  1. You don't give a lot of detail, so my answer will not have a lot of detail:

For the ducts - yes, install something to fill the gap.  I have no idea what size and shape they are, so get us more detail if you can't figure it out yourself.

As for the windows, I believe you will be better off removing the window and replacing it with either a board or plexiglass with the proper holes to mount the duct.  It will keep inside things in and outside things out.

We don't use duct tape for projects.
