I'm thinking of getting rid of my ntl cable tv as its a total ripoff (about 50 channels for 40 quid a month) I'm thinking about those free to air dishes, the ones that don't require a Sky subscription, are they really any good and if so is there a certain brand that I should be looking out for? Any advice much appreciated

  1. There are two options here:

    1. A Sky free to air system

    2. A Freesat system.

Sky charge £150 to install their system and you would probably pay a similar amount for a Freesat system.

If you are willing to DIY, then its a lot cheaper. Check e-bay for kits.

Is it any good? Yes, I've had Sky free for 2 years now and perfect reception and Freesat would be the same. Any good quality kit is suitable.

You still need a TV licence though!
