i work as an assistant at a law firm with 3 partners, and i work for the partners and 2 lawyers. also, there is a head paralegal who has authority over me as well. so in essence, i have 6 bosses (which is a major reason i found another job). my question is, is it okay to email my resignation to all of them instead of trying to catch them individually to hand them my resignation? any advice on how to let 6 bosses know i resign would be appreciated.

  1. They will all appreciate being personally notified, and thus I would send it out to all six of them. If you want to choose one, I would go for the head paralegal, as this is the one that has the closest relationship to you.

Given the small size of the firm, however, I think it would be okay to send it to everyone.

  2. There is nothing wrong with emailling all of them concerning your resignation. It's the sign of the times, i could'nt stand 6 bosses either.
