Need advice on mothers that ignore their families?

Question

my mother has a tendancy to ignore her own family members including me to cater to one of her friends needs.

recently my mom and i relocated to another city to be near family because my father passed away and being that i am 38 years old i could have stayed where i lived before but i took it upon myself and a favor to my mother to move with her.now this friend of hers is also moving here and since she has been around my mom acts as if i and other family members do not exist.this friend is very obsessed with my mother wont leave her sight and doesnt want anybody around my mother not even me her own daughter.i am getting to the point where i want to go back to where i was living before and say the h**l with this because i dont deserve this treatment from my own mother.my father recently passed away and this is also why i came with her and now she acts as if i dont even exist.any advice please thanks

Go home let her go she sounds pretty content shes a big girl and so are you just go with your life and call and visit once in awhile seems shes moved on so you do the same. good luck

you are 38 years old and whining about attention from your mommy?

honey it is way past time you grew up and cut the apron strings...your mother has her own life to lead now, she is no longer responsible for your well being, hasn't been for some time.
