my friend and i (male and female) are interested in going to cabo for 3-4 days for kayaking and anything else we can explore. we are in our 40's but he likes to wind surf....basically we are young at heart. we are seeking advice on where to stay that is centrally located, by the beach, clean and comfort are a must. there seems to be some great spas, but we may take in a massage...but not much more. we are not partyers but would love great dinners and night time music. we will travel in mid may...

  1. Hola.  I'm going to recommend the Villa del Parmar.  Lovely place, and will be exactly what you are looking for.  Close to town of Cabo on Medano Beach and close to activities such as kayaking.  Have a look at their website.

My next choice would be not in Cabo.  It would be in the nice little quaint town of San Jose del Cabo about 20 minutes from Cabo, but closer to the airport.  This is where I live and seems to suit the more mature crowd (the ones that are adventurous but not wanting to be innodated with puking 20 year olds!)   Try the Crowne Plaza or El Presidente.  There are several large resorts that stretch along one strip of beach that goes forever.  I usually walk down to the beach mid day and there are massage students that set up their tents and you can get an amazing hour massage for under $20.  It is so worth it!   It is also a nice leisurely walk to town for some of the best restaurants, shopping, art district and lovely atmosphere.  You can also do all the activities.

  2. I seriously recommend staying at the CASA ROSA. It's a private house in the pedergal. I stayed there and it was WONDERFUL!! It's about $300 a night but completley worth it! You have your own pool and the houses are just beautiful around there! If you want here's the website

  3. Do not stay at the Riu Palace.  My daughter checked in yesterday with another family for spring break.  Someone already went in and stole her money.  Apparently, from checking comments on different sites, as soon as you check in, someone goes and steals your cash, etc.  This is apparently very common at this hotel.
