  1. At least its a real pool table

lots better choice than the other one not top of the line but not junk either

Gotta go rest my foot cya Later Johnny

  2. I don't know very much about buying pool tables, actually, but if you're willing to pay $1500 for one, perhaps think about buying a good used one...a Brunswick, Gandy, or Diamond, for example.  Also, get a 9 ft. one if it'll fit.  I imagine most of the people who'll be playing on it wouldn't know the difference between an 8 ft. and 9 ft. table, one with good cloth and one without, one with slate or one with wood, but the players who do know the difference will appreciate it (and might help with repeat business!)...Hopefully somebody else can give you some better details.  Good luck :)

  3. Try Kijiji.com or Amazon

  4. This is definitely an upgrade from your last choice, but not a fantastic table by any means. This is a 'made in China' table, so pretty much all their claims of quality could be questionable.

And don't forget to read the small print: You must unload the table off the truck yourself (so if you drop the slate you're up a creek) and install it yourself, unless you pay someone else to do it for you.

I will suggest you do 2 things:

1.) Go to the forums at http://www.easypooltutor.com and ask your questions about pool tables there. There are quite and few people there familiar with tables, as well as table mechanics and a couple people who sell tables. BTW, they will all tell you not to buy that table, lol.

2.) Go to an Olhausen, Connelly, or Brunswick dealer and tell them your budget, and they may be able to help you find a table in your price range. Plus they can work out a deal for delivery and setup so you do not need to do it yourself.
