2 ohm Dual voice coil

500 RMS / 1000 Peak power handling

frequency response: 27-250 Hz

sensitivity: 85 dB

does the amp need to be 2000watt because i will have 2 of the speakers or do i just need one 1000watt amp? and which amp should i buy. Best answer will go to someone with a link and reason i should buy the amp they suggest.

  1. u will need a amp with 1000 rms.....dont worry about the peak power of the amp....look into mtx audio amps..they r really good and underrated...if u listen to that guy and only get 500 rms, u might as well only get one sub cause thats all u will be powering...get one with 1000 rms thats at least 2 ohm stable....make sure that u have the proper enclosure for those specific subs

  2. 1000w @2ohms...

  3. dont worry about the peak power when buying an amp just look at the rms you will need a 1000 rms amp at 2 ohms because you have 2ohm dual voice coils if i were you i would get a sundown saz-1500D but thats just me any amp that is cea compliant and is 1000 rms at 2ohms is what you need

  4. Just one stereo amp. That's how they are rated, for 2 speakers. You don't need a link/reference. Everyone should give you the same answer.

I wouldn't get a 1000 amp though. 500 Amp peak power handling should be plenty.

  5. rockford fosgate, alpine, kicker, mtx, and kenwood make really good amps. look for somthing that puts out 1000w rms you dont have to be on the dot but anywhere from 900 to 1200w rms will be good. here are a few good links to go shopping on.
