  1. Best way is by a cutting & the best way to do that is to dip your cutting in a rooting compound, place in a pot & cover with an upside down plastic bag. Tie a piece of string or rubber band around the top of the pot & you have a miniature greenhouse. Place in a darkish place till shoots begin to appear then take off the plastic & move to a more lighted position. When it has good strong darker green leaves you can transfer to the garden or a bigger pot & into a sunny position.

  2. you should try to root a cutting in spring as the plant is actively growing, not in late summer or in fall when it's thinking about slowing down and going dormant.... plus, the cutting will have all summer to get it's roots strong for winter....meantime, read all you can here on the web about starting roses from cuttings or from pinning a branch to the ground....

  3. no, don't dry the seeds and try to do it that way.  Way too complicated.

Take a picture of your rose bush and go in to the local gardening centre.  They will help you.  You need to  take some branches off and get some powder that helps them root.  It is easy, but trust your local professional!

  4. Place a cutting directly in the ground or a pot and keep it moist.....It should root but will take a week or two...do not disturb.
