  1. Find a school that is into competition.

  2. go to maslinc they list every circuit and tournament on the national level the bad think about not having a school is not having a coach to argue the political side of the tournament or coach you in sparring alot of times if your good you can get on a national team and just make trips to train. but you should be able to find a school of some sort ive seen them in towns of 500 people even in the u.p. of michigan so keep looking

  3. You don't have to be in a school to enter most tournaments but I would caution going to tournaments without attending regular classes. Although you might have 12 years under your belt, it's always best to have someone overseeing your training and pushing you further.

Tournaments are for competition and generally won't make you a better martial artist unless you have continual guidance.

If there are no martial arts classes around, are all of the tournaments you plan to attend travel tournaments?

  4. start a street fighting tournament  with local tough guys
