Question:

Need bathroom storage idea for under vanity?

i have a long vanity in my bathroom with a sink on one side with a cabinet underneath with doors. The other side is simply vanity space and open space between the counter and the floor. I guess it was originally for a vanity stool or something. The area is 24 in high, 30 in wide and 18 inches deep. I would like to store extra towels/soap/washcloths/toilet paper, etc. I could just put a large basket there, but I really wanted a shelf/drawers, or something. Help!!!!!!! And thanks for thinking about it......

  1. Putting shelves in are easy, well if you've done it before. If you don't have that experience get someone else to do it for you. I love extra shelves myself. You could put doors on it or a cute curtain, depending on your bath decor.

  2. Hi,

As in other reply--Fit shelves. This is easily done--Go to your local D.I.Y store & get some shelving brackets & wood& away you go.Depending on shelf bracket type--Go for the 1's where you need to drill a small hole in the cabinet for the bracket pin to fix on--If there isn't going to be too much weight on them. For heavier duty--go for a steel angle bracket that is screwed to both cabinet & shelf --Both for strength and added security.Depending on age-You may find that in your local bath centre you may be able to get shelves to match your existing cabinet.
