Question:

Need book ideas for a 13 year-old Christian boy?

My son really loves to read but I have a hard time finding books that are interesting that don't contain magic, witchcraft, etc. Can anyone recommend a book or series that would move fairly quickly and keep his attention? I would prefer books without magic and with good morals. Thanks in advance!!

How about the books in the Bible, all the stories in the Bible, are genuine, and real,there is a book(Set of books) called "The Bible Stories, there's about 10 books in the set.Or how about National Geographic books, they come in the mail to your home, it tells about the world, nature, ice bergs, volcanoes, weather,different places around the world, different languages, cultures,etc.hope these helped!Time spent reading about the different lands, cultures, languages,are interesting out of the Bible,and you can read in National Geographic about ancient Bible lands, and where they are located in our day and age, I think that would interest your son.

  4. the Lurlene McDaniel's books are really good. some people say they are girly in a way but they are about people with cancer and things like that... there are all kinds of different ones and they are EXCELLENT books

  5. The bible is FULL of magic. A talking snake? Wives that mysteriously appear for Cain and Abel? Please. Let your kid read anything he wants that's age appropriate and don't worry about magic and witchcraft.

  8. There is a series called Left Behind - there is an adult series and they have a teen/young adult series as well.  It's a christian series written by Tim LaHaye and someone else.  I read the adult series and it was awesome and I don't even consider myself very religious!
