  1. Well, your best bet would be to get a "Maxi-Taxi" (Marshrutka) from Suceava to Chernivtsi.  There is certain to be someone in the vehicle that speaks either English or German and they are very reasonable and easy to get across customs with.  The route to Obodivka seems to be trickier since the most direct route passes through Rep. Moldova which is just another border crossing and really only Romanian and Russian are spoken with any regularity there, so your driver needs to speak English or German, Ukrainian and Romanian to successfully navigate the borders.  For this, I suggest involving any locals you know in Suceava since many taxi drivers and others are willing to do longer journeys.  If you are visiting those areas for business or to visit family, they would be the best bet for arranging such a journey for you.  If not, I would contact someone in the Suceava county tourism department at Centrul Judetean de Informare Turistica INFOTURISM (0040) 0230/551241 and ask them.  If you are fortunate enough to encounter someone helpful, they might just hook you up with a friend of theirs that can be of service, which would be great.  I don't speak Ukrainian, so I am thinking of all of the things you can do before getting to Ukraine to make the trip smooth.  I wish you luck!
