My mother works at an english institute that teaches foreignors english as their second language, and we all know that any students that are learning another language dont really speak that language in the hallways, they speak their own. We want to put up some posters in different area's to encourage them to speak.

Got any catchy sayings that they can use on the posters or above the candy boxes?

Like; 'take a candy if you just used an english word'

also any other ideas that the institute can use to give them a little boost to speak english in the halls to strenghthen their english language would be a great help.

Thanks in advance.

  1. When my son was in elementary school they had a 'caught being good' program.  Every time a teacher witnessed a student doing something good they told the student, made a note of it and passed the student's name onto the person who coordinated the program.  Every Friday afternoon the students who had been 'caught being good' got to print their hand in paint, cut it out and add it to an ever growing chain down the hallways.

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for but you could have a 'caught speaking English' program.  Every time a student is heard to speak English outside the classroom they are rewarded in some way.
