  1. 50% NaOH is a common commercial form of caustic soda.  So it means exactly what it says:  25 ml of the liquid 50% caustic soda.  If you have only the dry NaOH use 17 g water and 17 g of NaOH.

  2. You have a solution, that is in total 25 mL.

The solution's weight however much it is, is 50% NaOH.

The other 50% might  be water, etc.

That does not mean that 12.5 mL are NaOH, only weight %

For example, if the solution weighs 5 grams, 2.5 grams of that weight is NaOH and 2.5 grams is something else. Good luck.

    17 grams of each

  3. it seems that it looks so vague....

i think its 25mL of 25% NaOH (by weight)???

  4. NaOH is Sodium Hydroxide a.k.a. Lye.
