I am a pretty good player at chess, and know how to play, BUT I want to learn some fly chess moves ( especially starting moves) It would be greatly appreciated.

  1. To learn openings you could buy a book for openings or take chess lessons.

  2. You're right that the usual next step for novice players is to learn some "book openings," because it helps prevent them from making early mistakes that doom them for the rest of the game.  The problem is that once you start to scratch the surface, you discover that there are hundreds of openings with thousands of variations.

If you are only going to be playing other novices, there are some "traps and zaps" you can try to learn; but the best thing to do is learn some very basic 1.e4 and 1.d4 openings so that you develop sound fundamentals that will give you a fighting chance against players of all levels.

After that, you have to study endgames, and then middle games, pawn structures... *sigh*   Chess is an entire universe unto itself.  I'm providing some links below that are very good for learning openings, and the last link is basic tactics.
