I know that i'm supposed to connect my blue remote wire to the blue one on the back of the head unit. But, does that mean i'm supposed to split it and have the blue wire goin two different places? Also, does that mean i have to solder it?

And lastly, what is the rem terminal on my amp for? I've heard something about having a second blue wire coming back to the rem terminal, but last time my amp was installed (i payed to have it done) there was only one blue wire. So, what do i do with the rem terminal, and can i do the install correctly with only one blue wire?

  1. you dont have to have two blue wires just one blue wire is gonna turn your amp on

  2. The REM terminal is for the blue remote wire.

    REM = remote

    Just run it from the stereo straight to the amp, nothing else.

    If you want to get fancy, you can put a switch in-line with the blue wire so you can turn off the amp if you need to.

    Soldering is best, but you can get away with using a crimp style butt connector.
