Need disability checks but have no medical proof ASAP!?

*note this question is for a friend of mine*

i was forced to quit my job because of a medical reason and i need to get disabilty checks to survive but i have no money to go to the doctor and get documentation to prove. i would get a sitting down job but i need proof of my knee disorder... so any ideas, its kind of an emergency .

p.s. i can't get an easy job... I'VE TRIED

should have taken the steps before quitting nthe job. Is it a fixable problem, I would guess yes based on my background, though may be expensive, and that is why insurance would have helped. Bottom line, has to get to a doctor. Therefore apply for medical aid, in any case will take a while, and steps will need to be made to get an income.

How do you know you have a knee disorder if you have never seen a doctor. I have a cracking noise in my knee when I walk down the stairs but I would not call it a disorder because I've never seen a doctor about it.

There has got to be a low cost clinic where you live. Find one and get the help you think you need.

It looks like you quit your job for medical reasons without

going to the doctors. And you are correct, you cannot collect

disability without one.

If you do not have the money, go to the hospital and they will

check you out.  They will find the need disorder, then you

have to go to a clinic or doctor to give you one.

If the doctor does not give you one, you can retain a lawyer

that does that work.  He only gets paid when you get your

settlement and start getting your checks.

Call a lawyer.  Or go to your nearest social security office,

or social services...they can help you get money to live on

and food, until you get your disability papers.

Please go right away, especially since you have no income.

They will help you at social services...right away.

Doctors are required by law to diagnose and treat patients. Go get examined and get your proof. Than please when they hospital sends you the bill remember to pay it. Good luck.
