This is my first time playing fantasy premier league and I was wondering what kind of changes I can make to my squad to make it better. I love Torres, but I have a feeling that 12 price tag may be too much with Keane on the team now. Heres my team:

James

Carragher, Brown, Scharner, Johnson

Gerrard, Jenas, Bentley, Davies

Torres, Santa Cruz

Subs: Nieme, Miete, Mullins, Harewood

  1. its good team

i would personally go for stronger midfield

but u need to find a balance between the string midfield and string defence.

i generally pick top players from weak teams

i mean i pick top players from new teams like hull city, stoke city

they are better than the weak players from top teams

the weak players from top teams maynot play lot of mathces , but top players from weak teams play almost all of the matches.

they are cheaper too and will make a very good substitues

ur midfield and forward looks good but the defence is kindda not too strong

so have fun in fantasy league

    hope u will enjoy it

  2. First mistake, the best GK always changes.  So although it's expensive, buy a big club GK, like Reina, Cech, or Van der Sar.

Your defense is pretty good but consider a Chelsea defender, since Chelsea pulls off a lot of clean sheets (My advice would be get rid of Torres and buy Terry, and use the left over money to up ur other players.)

Second mistake, unless you're pretty sure, I think that TOT isn't going to pull that many goals this season.  I would switch Bentley with Modric and switch Jenas with perhaps with Deco)

As for your strikers, as I said, take out Torres and strengthen your mid and def.   Santa Cruz is a good choice (I picked him too =P) but consider someone such as Berbatov, Aghbolor (w/e that guy's name is), or Adebayor.

Overall Players that you might wanna watch out for transfers into your team:

    1. Fabregas

    2. Nasri (if he does good)

    3. Deco

    4. Rooney (after he gets un-injured)

    5. Keane

I got 41st in the Fantasy Overall Rankings, so you can trust me.

I personally play a 4-4-2, with Berbatov and Santa Cruz leading

  3. Pretty decent team... quite well balanced.

I would have Harewood as your first sub, if you're playing a fantasy game where you have to choose a priority substitute. I probably would have picked Agger over Carragher as he's more of a goal scorer, but I guess Carragher could get more appearances. You'd better check Gerrards injury status before the start of the season to check he's over his groin strain.

Which fantasy game is it btw? Some award points for the winning team too, if you're in one of these fantasy games you'd best buy more big four players.

Edit - I went for 4-3-3 and picked mostly big four defenders to ensure lots or clean sheets, and an average midfield and attack, with players like Young/Bentley in Midfield and Defoe/Yakubu etc. up front. I only bought one "superstar" as the captain earned double points.
