  2. We have used the Robinson Curriculum since 1997/98.

It is a very good or rather excellent method of learning.

    Check out the website www.robinsoncurriculum.com.

It is very simple in structure.  Each day is spent mastering math, writing and reading -- with a focus on vocabulary.  The student progresses at an individual rate and becomes adept at thinking and reasoning.

RC is arranged in such a way that the student can start at the beginning -- phonics and mathfacts -- and study for 12+ years learning everything needed to become a successful college graduate, citizen, employee, etc.

The premise of RC is that math is the language of science.  Therefore math is a major focus with formal science pursuits being saved for college level learning.  Writing is learned by practice.  And reading is the core of every academic pursuit.  Reading must be practiced every day for at least 2 hours and the books must be of the highest quality in many areas.
