Need flat screen tv help?

ok i have a 42" hd lcd philips flat panel screen and i have a small metal table im about to sit my tv on it and i was wondering if anyone knows for sure if it could mess up the coloring or anything on the tv and if so is there anything i can place on the table that would stop it from happening cause i was thinking cardboard just wasnt sure

Not a problem at all.

With LCD, you shouldn't have any problems with the table.  This is even true with old CRT TVs.  The interference you may be worried about is magnetic fields usually originating from nearby speakers.  But again, with LCD this isn't an issue.  Only CRTs with their electrode ray guns are affected by magnets.
