Need fridge help. I went away for a few days and came back to a puddle on hte floor in front of the fridge?

The fridge was slowly thawing out, so I emptied the fridge and unplugged it from the wall to let it dry out. About 6 hours later, I plugged it back in and it seemed to work fine. It actually got cold enough to make a few ice cubes but then it started to make a funny noise coming from the compressor. It sounded like it was trying to start but couldn't. The fridge eventually thawed out again. I have a fridigaire side by side and nether the freezer or fridge are getting cold. Help please before I pay some dude too much to look at it, when I could by a new one.

My friend had this happen to her. They called the puddle 'refridgerator juice' ha.. anyway.. they just got a new fridge.
