I teach 2-4 year olds in a Sunday school class and need a good idea for something to make as a mother's day gift. Needs to keep little ones attention, they have a hard time staying on task. Another problem I have is that they are not very interested in coloring. Any help is appreciated...

  1. take pictures of all of them, then get some cheap foam picture frames and have them decorate them with some of those little foam cutouts that r like sticky on the back so u dont have to use glue!! i did this when i was about that age and it was really fun!! good luck!

  2. Try the Things to Make for Mother's Day book from Usborne Books.  http://www.ubah.com/ecommerce/details.as...

  3. We  decorated flower pots and put in a fake flower-so it will last forever!

-Flower pot was an upside down flower pot-I stuck hole in top of it. Children choose colour card to wrap and stick around it. Then they put stickers and things around it-they pushed flower in the hole (choosing own colour flower) and then put some tiessue paper to look like soil and hide the hole :)

The mums really liked it :)

    Other ideas:

    -Icing biscuits

-Take their photos with polaroid and kids can decorate a photo frame to put pic in.

-Handpainting-with a nice poem underneath-they can often be found on internet if you search.

  4. wl are they interesting in painting or maiking wit there hands

  5. How about making some home made play dough, have the children roll or pat it out fairly flat and use cookie cutter to make the shape they choose as a present for mommy. Let them dry. You could use a pc. of yarn to make a string so they can hang it somewhere. They could decorate their pc. with beads, sequence, glitter, noodles, buttons, etc... I have a number of crafts my kids made for me when they were little...my baby is now 23 and I still have all of their crafts to this day.
