Need good tattoo ideas!?

Question

I'd like a tattoo idea - something smallish, black/white, and would look good on a boy or girl. And simple! Nothing elaborate. I'm thinking a little black heart or star but that might be a little too common these days and I don't want to look like i'm just copying what's popular. :P So anything would be helpful! I mean, what do you have/like/think would look cool?

I got my fathers initials. Because he died. Personally if you want to get a tattoo then you should get something that is really important to you.

Something that goes with your nationality is always good, for example if you were irish you could get a 4 leaf clover, or if you are Canadian a maple leaf.

If you don't know what you want, maybe you're not ready for a tattoo. In my personal experience, if you get a tattoo of something random just because you want you'll regret it later. This will be on you body forever and it should mean something to you. I have seen people get a tattoo just because and they always ended up preferring other tattoos which were thought out and meaningful. I have two tattoos that both mean something to me; one is my asrto sign and the other is my middle name. I wanted both for years before I did it and I am now certain that I will love them both forever. If you still want one, I'd suggest the astro sign like I have, either the symbol or the animal or figure that goes with it. That's always going to be meaningful.

My son got a really neat tattoo.  Elephants tail to nose around his ankle. I think there are 4 or 5 elephants.   He is a professional so when at work his socks cover it.  When at play he can show it off

i recently got a small outline of a star (about the size of a nickel) right behind my ear, on the side of my neck. but now i really wish i had gotten a small lady devil on the side of my neck right behind my ear standing on her tippy toes, whispering in my ear sort of. and then an angel on the other side doing the same.
