  1. divided by 2

  2. 301 meters

    350m/s x .860s=301 meters

  3. There is an error in your question. The speed of sound is 344 m/s (1232 km/h, or 770 mph, or 1130 ft/s).

  4. 150.5 meters

  5. ummmm wouldn't it just be

    350 x .86 = 301??

    301 Metres

  6. The sound travels twice the distance as the cliff is away, sound, of course, travels there and back

    the equation you are looking for is:

    d = v*t

    where d is the distance traveled, v is the velocity, and t is the time it took to travel.

    Plug the values v = 350

    t = 0.860

    And remember the d you calculate will be twice the distance as the cliff so divide that d by 2 to get your answer.
