  1. Spend at least 6 months working on a dairy farm.  Ask the farmer for advice if you still want to do this in 6 months.

  2. sorry i don't know how to help, i am from the city. well, i do know that you are going to need some cows.

  3. Check with Ontario Min. of Agriculture and see if you can get financial assistance (grants, tax breaks). Universities with agriculture departments often are tied in with extension service to provide detailed advice. You can get prices of feed, economic forecasting, marketing reports, veterinary assistance. DEFINITELY intern with a dairy farm in the same area first. You will have the safety of animals and people at stake, not to mention a lot of money, so proceed with caution, advice from professionals, and with diligence.

  4. "Pal" has it right. You need basic experience and with that you will it turn learn where to find what you determine you need. If you have a barn/ stable and a pasture you can start there with a couple or few animals, at least one bull to start with a few cows. Don't put down any big money till you have a handle on it or you may not be happy.

  5. 1. get animals
