hey im 16 and looking to buy my first snowboard.

I dont want a board more than 300 dollars (just the board not incuding bindings, etc)

I've been snowboard for 4 years but have been using my friends old board.

I'm 5'7 and 130 lbs.

I like to carve and just ride, but i am getting into jumps, so i want something to handle both.

I would like the snowboard to be ROME because i here they are very good and they are 40% off at my local shop. I dont know what the difference between and Anthem or the Agent or Slash is so i need some advice.

Thanks!

  1. Ok I will break down the three for you. First, the Anthem is an all mountain destroyer. It has a directional shape and is super fast. This board was designed for the intermediate to advanced rider who loves steep groomers, tree runs, and backcountry booters. It also doubles as an awesome pipe and kicker board. This one will not perform well on jibs, but has plenty of pop for the jumps. The Agent might be right up your alley. It can rip anything in the park including the biggest jumps and the gnarliest rails, but is still stable enough at higher speeds for the rest of the mountain. The Slash is the same board as the Agent, with just a wider shape. Only get this if your boot size is 11+ US.

Bottom Line: The Anthem will perform better on the groomers and powder, the Agent will perform better in the park. Email me if you have any further questions or want more info on these boards.
