I am a 38 or 40 DDD and I can't seem to find a bra that fits and feels good. I don't mind paying good money for one but don't know where to look. Any ideas ladies?

  1. It depends where you live, but the best place to go is a small shop where you can make an apointment to get a fitting. Try somewhere like Knickers & Lace, they are a litte (o.k. a lot) pricey but they are by far the best.  You can try doing a local search of lingerie boutiques in your area and call to book an appointment.  Until then, the Playtex ones are sort of o.k. for a while.

  2. The Elila collection has beautiful, comfortable bras in DDD cups.  The straps are wide enough, yet still look good.

P.S. I was talking about the last one, Black!

  3. I'm a 36D & I buy bras from Nordstrom mostly. They have a great selection there & the bras are good quality. Don't go to Victoria's Secret, they sell c**p & the sizes are limited. The worst thing about buying bras is that manufacturers assume that a big cup size = big band size. And the bigger bras they sell at most stores are not really big at all. I think places like Victoria's Secret uses vanity sizing to make people feel like they have bigger b*****s. My sister is small chested (a big A, small B), and the girls who measured her at Victoria's Secret said she was a C. I was afraid to get measured there, I was sure they'd say something like, "You're a 36EEE, we don't carry your size ma'am"

Try Nordstrom, it's the best place to buy bras in my opinion. :)

  4. Lane Bryant, lots to choose from in bigger sizes.

  5. I suggest you go for a bra fitting at Nordstrom. They will have a wide selection of bras in your size, and even if it turns out that you need a different size you'll be in safe hands because they are some of the best bra fitters. They stock bras up to a JJ cup, so you can rest assured that they are familiar with how to fit big busted women.

You can also order bras from http://www.figleaves.com, and they have an excellent fitting advice section.
