  1. les pauls play really nice

my advice is to get one of them

  2. Dude, I recommend a Musicman Ernie Ball John Petrucci Signature.  I've got four Les Pauls, two Custom Shop Fender Strats, a couple of Mavericks, two Gibson SGs, an Ovation 12/6 string double neck acoustic, and more...

And I swear to you, the MM Ernie Ball Petrucci signature is the nicest guitar I own. It runs rings around Les Pauls and Strats tone-wise, with the two DiMarzio p/ups, and it has the BEST neck and most buttery fretboard you'll ever play.  Plus the fully-loaded version has a Piezo pickup for awesome acoustic tonality.

Check one out, before you buy another guitar. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

  3. only les paul's that work well are older versions.

i say get the 68 strat

  4. persoally i prefer gibson  good luck

  5. Modulus Bass Flea 4 (will put a Lane Poor Pickup in) - £2,000

  6. Sounds like your paying too much money for these. HAve you checked the Fender website. I bought a strat last year US version for less than £1000.

  7. Are you from the UK? I have a guitar going with extra strings, amp, picks, gig bag, stand, electric tuner. If you want more info about it email me (not got the info here as I'm at work)

  8. check out www.carvin.com you can get a hot rod for those bucks

  9. For that price you could get a real vintage Fender. I suggest something like http://www.vintageandrareguitars.com/web...

By the way why have you included a bass in your short list?

Jonty: the Relic Fenders always cost a lot more than the Standard US models.

  10. I have a Les Paul. Really nice tone.
