Need help buying school uniforms each yr?

Sign my petition if you agree that families with a low income should recieve help buying school uniforms including PE kits.

Hopefully the money will be in the form of vouchers...

Can you give the link more carefully? I've just gone on it and it took me to the homepage where I searched for uniforms but it was just about military stuff. Thanks.

I completely agree with you though, especially if they insist that the child has all the uniform. At my children's school, black hoodies arn't ok, they've got to have the school crest on them meaning I have to spend £20 + on a hoodie that my child will wear once a week at the most, and I've got to buy three because they have to have the house colours on as well and my kids are in different houses. Lucky for me I can afford it, but for those who can't?

I totaly agree! My daughters' school has expensive uniforms!

but i do think they should help buy uniforms, after all low income people here get clothing vouchers for school clothes where we dont have uniforms, if they are forcing you to buy certain things they surely should help if you cant afford it.

I agree there should be help however most schools have an opt out policy for wearing uniforms. I opt my kid out every year because uniforms just arent as durable as normal clothes.

We have a program at our school that requires uniforms that helps everyone.  The school has a uniform swap/giveaway every year before school starts.  Parents donate uniforms their kids have out grown or don't use anymore, and you can get the sizes you need for little (usually 50 cents a piece and the money is used for student activities) or no cost.  It helps out those that need the help and the school also.  Everyone has been happy with the out come.

i worked ina  uniform store through college and went to cathlolic school so I know how expensive they can be.  Ask the school if they have a suggestion.  And maybe start a uniform drop at the school for things other kids have growns out of that are in good shape so others can take them.  thats what we did at my school.
