So I've narrowed it down to a Civic (2005 EX, or a later model Si if I can find a good deal), a Mazda3 (hatchback), or an Acura RSX (probably not a type-s) .. anyways, i need a good reliable car that has good gas mileage and those seem to be the best I can find, what do you think would be the best bet? and feel free to list any other similar cars that you think would be good, much appreciated -- also keep in mind that im 6'3" so head/leg room is an issue, thanks again

  1. I would go with the civic unless you want the type s rsx the lexus "IS" is also very nice and around the same price as rsx.

  2. Hi...

I recomend  civic hands down.  Overall quality, resale value or god forbid an auto accident where the said vehicle is a write-off. Furthermore the EX is less fuel voracoius the any other listed or any other model or make that comes to mind in the midsize category.  Reliability is top notch and repair and maintenance cost are less or comparable to others in the same category.......good luck.   Peter

  3. You didn't mention your financial expectations for purchase and future repairs and maintenance.  You seem to lean towards foreign made vehicles, which is a matter of choice, but higher repair costs and not an American contribution.  None of the cars listed has extensive leg room without setting the seat back. The Chevy Cavalier, RS, Z-24, etc., is a reliable, low-maintenance cost American vehicle. Try checking the internet vehicle owner sites for each of the vehicles to get pros and cons. www.clubcav.com www.clubcivic.com and others.

  4. Acura RSX have comfortable leather seats, rides smoothly, is reliable, and good on gas

  5. id say the civic.the mazda is also good though.
