Need help coming up with a party theme?

Every year, my family has a reunion upstate ny. We have this one pool motel (approx 15 rooms) that participate in a progressive cocktail hour(s). We start at the top and work our way to the next room every 10 minutes. So I need a crazy theme but the prep work is only for 10 minutes of fame - so it has too be memorable but not super expensive. We have had the normal themes ie, laua, ireland, usa soccer, mardis gra, hollywood... I would like to have something no one else will think of - any ideas would be appreciated. It would help if you say the drink type, party favors, decorations needed, etc. My family goes all out and it keeps getting more and more elaborate!!! The memories are getting better every year. BTW the ages of those who participate are 21 to 101. Thanks.

have a fancy dress competition the winner(s) gets a bottle of wine and chocolates or  do a sherlock holmes mystery  or poiriot mystery and title the theme "The missing guest" ask one of the guests to be the missing guest and ask  who is going to play sherlock holmes and Dr watson and so forth,.

you could go with the 60's harvey walbangers,

the 70's,sloe gin fizz, etc... work your way up to mojitos of the 2000's, dress for the occations, 60's hippie style, 70's disco, 80's rock and roll, 90's country, etc...

Since the Summer Olympics are this year, you could do an Olympic theme...... Each room could do a different country who participates; and you could award Gold, Silver & Bronze medals for the best rooms at the end ....  The annual reunion is an AWESOME idea!

Maybe you shouldn't have a theme this year? why don't you just put part of every theme. it will probably be called the theme remix.

how about a bubbles theme - you could decorate the room in light colored balloons (some just floating on the floor) hand out bubbles as participants come in the room - and of course serve the ultimate bubbly - champagne (or a knockoff because it could get expensive). You could probably even find some door decorations for the outside of the door.

Mexican fiesta... Margaritas, shot glasses, sombreros &pinatas

Cowboy theme... dunno about the drinks... cowboy hats

Royalty... crown and coke.. give crowns... decorate in purple and red

how about doing something that you personally want or ask a couple of people that your planning on inviting what they might like because that way they will enjoy it more you no dressing up in the theme chosen it will be a right laugh
