My desktop has an ethernet card and my laptop has a wireless adapter. The laptop is connected to the internet wirelessly. But my desktop can't reach the modem or the router. Is there anyway to connect the desktop to the laptop to give it internet? Both systems run windows xp.

  1. buy a cat-5 ethernet cable from any electronics store, and that should solve the problem. alternatively, you can get a PCI wireless adapter (i recommend linksys) and just connect via wireless.

  2. buy a wifi pci adapter
