Hi there.... I can't seem to make a decision about this - so I'm hoping someone can help out. I'm opening a childcare business in my home (I want to stay home with my two children). I've finally narrowed it down to two names - which do you like better?

Doodlebugs Childcare & Early Learning

or

Small Wonders Childcare & Early Learing

Each has a cute logo I've already designed.

I can email to you if you're curious to see it.

Thanks so much in advance!!! :)

  1. 1." Primera Escuela"

    2." Kids brain"

    3. " Little  Einstein childcare & early learning

    4. " Second mom childcare and early learning"

  2. I am for Doodlebugs... very creative!  Good luck!

  3. Small Wonders Childcare & Early Learning- would be my vote!

  4. Small Wonders.  My mother has a center that starts with Creative, and that's always caught the attention of seeking parents.

The trick is the praise part of your name.  If parents think that you think if their child is great in advance, it will make winning their trust, (and child) very easy.

  5. I'll go for Small Wonders.

  6. I always called my daughter Doodlebug, when she was young.  I think every parent can identify with this.  Really cute, brings a smile to me.

  7. Doodlebugs Childcare & Early Learning for many reasons.

I think it's very creative and fun and more original than small wonders.

I know that others have said that it seems unprofessional but look at your target audience.  You are looking to attract families with young children who will be drawn to your ideas of fun.

Small Wonders is a bit overdone in my opinion.  I know that in the town I grew up in it was the name of the school districts preschool program and have seen it used for many home childcares.

Doodlebugs is kid friendly and memorable.

I have spent alot of time thinking about names for my own childcare business that I hope to start someday...currently I work at a small center as a preschool teacher.  The name our director chose was Praise the Children Childcare.

I like names that can be abbreviated for the purpose of labeling things that may be sent home like extra clothes in that instance that a child doesn't have any there that day. For example we write PTC on our things.  With doodlebugs you could go DB or DBugs.

Hope this helps.  Overall whatever votes you get I hope you go with the one that will have the most longevity for you since you will be the one that has to see it all the time.

  8. Small Wonders Childcare & Early Learing.

  9. Small Wonders Childcare & Early Learing

If you want a good idea just think of somthing like

"Building for the future day care."

  10. Small Wonders - I don't like Doodlebugs coz that's a show - right? - and it might not be popular as long as you want to have your busienss.

  11. SMALL WONDERS ALL THE WAY!!!!

    Doodlebugs... ull regret it.

  12. Hmm.. I like Small Wonders better, as some poeple, (foreigners, no offense, and others not familiar with certain cute terms) may be confused by Doodlebugs, or spell it wrong, who knows.  I like Small Wonders.  But, they're both cute, and it's your business, so ultimately the decision is yours.

By the way, it's nice to see a mom spending time at home and raising her children.  It seems to get more and more scarce these days.

    Good Job, and God Bless,

    Athena =)

  13. Small wonders is better, the other sounds a bit unproffesional and thats not good wen its to do wit children.

  14. Small Wonders Childcare & Early Learning sounds great to me.  Good luck in your venture.  That is a great way to be there for your own children and help some working mothers feel reassured about their children too.

  15. small wonders

doodlebugs is cute but it sounds very unprofessional. like it's a joke.
