I am trying to change a picture from 2400X3600 pixels and 6.29 MB to 640X840 pixels and no bigger than 150 KB. I have opened Microsoft Picture Manager and was able to decrease the size to under 640X840 pixels, but the size was still over 200 KB. I tried to compress the picture and it went from 236 KB to 45 KB. I'm afraid 45KB might be too small. Any suggestions? I am using the pictures for a contest. Thanks!

  1. 45kb would be really small.

You can reduce it to 100 kb.

So, you have already reduced the size and it's still 236kb,

What you can do is, click on Document large(1024pxl x 768pxl) on the resize settings, then save it. And then open it again and click on Web large(640pxl x 480pxl). The size of the picture will be around 110-120 kb.

    Hope it helps!!

  3. You can also try Online Image Optimizer:
