Need help entering a thoroughbred in some open races,I don't have papers on him, but what like 2 run him a bit

I would like to get into this, but don't where to start? If anyone can help that would be great. I have always barrel raced and never had anything to do with tb racing. I need help....

I'm afraid the posters are correct, unless you have registration on your horse, you won't be able to race him at any track. You might be able to do some back yard match races but that's as far as you are going to go.

  I think you got duped in to believing you have a brother to Smarty Jones that is not registered. If there is a tattoo inside his upper lip you can find out who the horse really is.

  I think you're best to enjoy him on trail rides.

Does this horse have a number tattooed on the inside of his/her lip? If it has ever been registered you can get the papers.

If you don't have papers on him, he can't race.

All thoroughbreds must be registered and bred by live cover to race.
