  1. If you are not married you would not enter your bf income so do not do that, however, there is a question on Worksheet B that says something about someone paying "any money paid on your behalf".  If someone paid things for you ... car payment, insurance, gas, electricity, whatever, your portion of yearly amount would be entered here.

  2. Ok, what I would need to know is, did your boyfriend put you down on his taxes?

Obviously if the kids are his he probably claimed them as exemptions on the taxes.

If he filed a joint tax return with your name on it, and this I can't tell you without looking at it, then you need to include his information on the fafsa.  Why?  Because if he filed a 'joint' tax return you are now common law married in most states.

Let me know if you need a bit of guidance.

  3. Better call the financial aid people at the school to make sure....but I think if you didn't have to file a tax return last year, that should be able to be entered on the form. This should actually help you get grants! You do not have to claim your boyfriend's income as far as I know. If you are 23 or under (I think) and live with your parents, then you would have to claim their income. Just call the FA office at the school to make sure of this stuff so you do not delay the processing.

Good Luck and congratulations on your decision to further your education!
