  1. Wills of Westmoreland County, Virginia 1654-1800, Augusta B. Fothergill.  Gen. Pub. Co. 1973.

Family listed as: Sanford, other records I've seen, listed as both Sandford and Sanford.

Many Sandfords in the book, no apparent will for Rbt.

above, but as I recall there is more information in Fleets' books on the family.

**I looked this man up on www.ancestry.co.uk and followed his line forward, and the last one listed in the 1600's was this lady: ELIZABETH SANFORD-- F--b. 19 FEB 1645 in HARTFORD,CT. Her parents were ROBERT SANFORD

(Birth: 1 NOV 1615 ,S,ENGLAND;  Death:  JUN 1676 ,HARTFORD,CT. ) and  ANN ADAMS (Birth:  Abt 1624 ,ENGLAND ;  Death:  12 JUL 1682 ,HARTFORD,CT. ). So, I'm not sure that the note above would be correct, especially since Robert Sandford lived in Virginia.

There is this listing of immigration for Robert Sandford on www.ancestry.com

Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, 1500s-1900s

(Could not find any listings for a 1670 immigration to the US)

  3. Ancestry lists a number of Robert Sandford's who immigrated to the U.S. from 1638 on. Do you have any information on where he might have arrived and if he was married in the U.S. or England?

We need to narrow down the field.
