Question:

Need help finding a decent PalmOS device?

I've lost my old Sony Clie (TJ25) and I'd like to purchase a new one to replace the one I lost. I do have another Palm Pilot, but it's a really old model (Palm IIIc).

In addition with the basics of the usual Palm device (calender, notes, etc), I'd like one that is a PalmOS 5 or higher and can:

-Playback movies (I have a MPEG-4 converter).

-Play MP3s.

-Preferably have a memory card slot for more memory.

-Have a display of at least 320 x 320 and 16 bit color.

-Play flash games.

-Voice recorder, not required.

-A camera would be cool, but not required.

-Not be a phone.

It will mainly be used for keeping track of my work schedule, playback media, and mostly playing games. I'm not really looking for newer models, however an old model with this specs would be fine, too. Money isn't really a problem, though I wouldn't want something too expensive.

Thanks in advance.

  1. I would recommend a Palm TX, it is and it is not really a new model now and I'm sure you can get this for less than MSRP which paid for it a couple of years ago now along with accessories thrown in ie...IR keyboard, cases etc.....

It can do 1-4 on your list.  TCPMP works great on the TX and the larger screen.

The TX can support up to a 4GB SD card and can hold lots of mp3, videos and movies.

It 5 - Flash games?  I don't have experience with this.

It 6 - Can be added with an external mic.

The TX doesn't have a camera, It 7

    Upside from the Sony:

WiFi and BT drivers to interface with compatible cell phones.

    Good Luck
